DPM Simović in Žabljak: Response to current challenges, with new projects for faster economic development

Žabljak, Montenegro (10 June 2020) -- Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Milutin Simović noted, during his working visit to Municipality of Žabljak, that hard work is being done in Žabljak, that projects to boost infrastructure and improve the lives of citizens are being implemented with the support of the Government, especially in rural areas, but also the projects for creating preconditions for the development of priority areas - tourism and agriculture.
President of the Municipality of Žabljak Veselin Vukićević, pointed out his satisfaction with the implementation of all projects that are being realised in the municipality, with the support of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, and today especially with the completion of the water supply system in Šaranci. He also thanked the locals for their cooperation, but also pointed out the support of the Armed Forces of Montenegro and the Capital City, which helped the realisation of the project, thus reducing the investment of the project value of EUR 500 thousand to about EUR 330 thousand.
Deputy Prime Minister Simović visited earlier today several new asphalted sections of rural roads in the area of Žabljak, financed through the Project of rural areas development, which is implemented by the Government in cooperation with the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD).
