Published on: Jun 26, 2020 • 1:30 PM Author: PR Service
The National Coordination Body for Communicable Diseases, at last night's session chaired by President Milutin Simović, decided to introduce several temporary measures as well as additional, special measures in the municipalities of Rožaje and Bijelo Polje in order to prevent further spread of coronavirus.
New measures throughout the state
Due to the increase in the number of active cases of coronavirus, imported from the region and then spread within Montenegro, as of Friday, 26 June 2020, following temporary measures are in force:
1. Political rallies in open public places are prohibited;
2. The presence of spectators at sports events is prohibited;
3. Religious gatherings in open public places except on the property of the religious facilities are prohibited; and
4. Funerals are conducted with immediate family only.
(Events in closed public spaces have already been prescribed by measures as of 18 June)
Responding to queries from the Office of the President of Montenegro, the National Coordination Body recommended that a traditional reception on the occasion of the Statehood Day should not be organised this year.
Responding to queries from the Association of Fighters of the People's Liberation War and Antifascist of Montenegro, the National Coordination Body recommended postponing the ceremonies planned for 8 July in Ravni Laz and 13 July in Bijelo Polje.
Full support to the Montenegrin police
The National Coordination Body for Communicable Diseases strongly condemned the attacks on the police and the naming and shaming of the police officers.
The police professionally and efficiently protect and serve all citizens and the state, as it showed during the coronavirus epidemic. That is why the attack on the police is an attack on the state of Montenegro and on all citizens. The National Coordination Body expresses its full support to our police.
Inappropriate actions of individual doctors
The National Coordination Body considers actions of individual doctors inappropriate due to the gross violation of the profession, science, code of ethics and the Hippocratic Oath.
We show the highest respect to thousands of health workers throughout Montenegro who, with their dedicated, selfless and devoted work, have been and remain on the front line of defending the health and lives of citizens.
New temporary measures in Rožaje
