The Secretariat-General of the Government of Montenegro, in cooperation with the Montenegrin Pan-European Union, is organising a panel debate: "EU Presidency 2020: a look into the future". The gathering is being organised on the occasion of the eighth anniversary of the accession negotiations, as well as the end of Croatia's presidency of the Council of the European Union and the takeover of the Presidency by Germany.

The panel will be addressed by Chief Negotiator Aleksandar Drljević, President of the Montenegrin Pan-European Union (CPEU) Gordana Đurović and the Ambassadors of the Republic of Croatia and Germany to Montenegro, Veselko Grubišić and Robert Heinrich Weber.

The meeting will be an opportunity to exchange views on the results of the Croatian and German EU presidencies, in the context of the European perspective of the Western Balkans, the current situation in the EU, as well as Montenegro's plans and commitments in the negotiation process.

The panel debate will be held on Monday, 6 July 2020, at the Sports and Cultural Centre of the University of Montenegro, starting at 12:00.

The gathering is organised within the EU4ME project funded by the European Union.
