Continuation of Government generous support for hosts of Berane

Podgorica, Montenegro (1 August 2020) -- The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development will invest this year too, in cooperation with the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), the significant funds to the development of rural infrastructure in the Municipality of Berane. Hardworking hosts can expect new kilometers of paved roads and the construction of new kilometers of rural water supply systems this year as well, with the goal of improving the quality of life and working conditions in the countryside. Numerous agricultural farms have increased the volume, quality and range of their production in the previous period, with the already evident significant interest of citizens in returning to their properties.

We are continuing the project of improving the rural infrastructure that we started two years ago, through which over 6 km of rural roads worth EUR 350.000, were asphalted in the municipality of Berane alone and a water supply system in a worth of EUR 41.000, was built in local community Zagorje.

These days, the Ministry of Agriculture will sign contracts for the construction of over 5 km of new asphalt roads worth over EUR 300.000, as well as for the construction of water supply in a worth of over EUR 50.000 to the local community Petnjik, with the aim of further improvement of living and working conditions in the rural area of Municipality of Berane. 

These infrastructure projects, with generous measures of non-refundable support from the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development to hardworking hosts and entrepreneurs, will contribute to the further development of agriculture and the improvement of the quality of life in Berane.
