DPM Simović satisfied with achievements in Golubovci: We have done a lot, we continue together and even stronger

During a working visit to the municipality within the Capital city – Golubovci, where he presented the results of the Government's support to producers in vegetable and farm production, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Milutin Simović and his associates met with representatives of municipality within the Capital city - Golubovci led by Tanja Stajović.
The Deputy Prime Minister said that he was encouraged by the confirmation from the local government that farmers are satisfied with the support of the Ministry in the implementation of production and placement of products in a season full of challenges, due to the pandemic. Deputy Prime Minister Simović reminded that the Government carefully monitored these challenges and that within the II package of measures it implemented special ones for the agricultural sector, worth EUR 17 million. The implementation of these measures has mitigated the consequences of the pandemic, ensured market stability and prevented disturbances, especially in the production of watermelon and potatoes.
Summarizing the projects that have been implemented in cooperation with the Government and the Capital city of Podgorica in previous years, from the construction of boulevards, mixed schools, roads, water supply and others, DPM Simovic said that a lot has been done in Golubovci to improve infrastructure and create conditions for entrepreneurship and better quality of life. In the field of agriculture alone, in the last three and a half years, the municipality of the Capital City has been supported with about EUR 2 million.
Support for road embankment this year as well
Deputy Prime Minister Simović emphasised that the Ministry will support the filling of local roads this year as well, in the amount of EUR 40.000, with the suggestion that the works be completed on time while the weather conditions are favourable.
The need to build new kindergartens for Deputy Prime Minister Simović, is another confirmation that people are not leaving this area, that they are recognizing the steps forward and the ever-improving conditions for living and creating in Golubovci. The Government will continue to care for children in this area as well, with special attention to policies to improve preschool education.
Deputy Prime Minister Simović, as the president of the National Coordination Body, praised the efforts of the local government to respect the measures to prevent the spread of COVID -19 and suggested that they continue to act in an advisory manner and encourage compliance with recommendations by citizens, entrepreneurs and local services, with the aim of preserving health.
