Prime Minister Duško Marković said that the Government guarantees regular payment of salaries, pensions and social welfare benefits and that it has ensured the sustainability of public finances in the long run. Therefore, salary reduction in state administration, institutions and companies is out of the question.
"Montenegro was ready for the economic crisis caused by the global coronavirus epidemic, and the state's response to the crisis was decisive, effective and generous thanks to the responsible economic policy we are pursuing. The Government guarantees regular payment of salaries, pensions and social welfare benefits. We also increased salaries and pensions and social welfare benefits whenever we could, and reduced them only to officials when it was necessary. We have provided support to our economy and citizens, ensured the sustainability of public finances in the long run. Therefore, salary reduction in state administration, institutions and companies is out of the question," said Prime Minister Duško Marković.
