National Coordination Body: Preparation of preconditions for regular beginning of school year, pre-election campaign facilitated

The National Coordination Body for Communicable Diseases, at today's session chaired by President Milutin Simović, recommended to the Ministry of Education and the Public Health Institute to prepare and define the preconditions for the regular beginning of the school year and at full capacity.

Class attendance, attending school and preschool institutions have an irreplaceable educational role. Therefore, it is necessary to prepare clear recommendations in a timely manner in order to enable regular activities in all school and preschool institutions in the country in a safe way.

At the request of a number of political entities and the expressed need for direct communication with voters and better presentation of election programmes and lists in the pre-election process, the National Coordination Body proposed to the Ministry of Health to amend orders to enable indoor and outdoor political rallies, while limiting the number of attendees and complying with prescribed epidemiological measures - maintaining distance, hand hygiene and wearing protective masks. Up to 100 people are allowed to gather outdoors, and up to 50 people indoors, while political entities are responsible for the organisation and compliance with measures during the gathering.

Having in mind the upcoming international sports activities as well as the great interest of foreign media and foreign observation missions in the election process in Montenegro, the National Coordination Body proposed defining special conditions that would allow unhindered entry and stay in Montenegro of these entities in a way that provides optimal health protection. This is in accordance with the currently valid protocol for easing measures in international traffic and the recommendations of the European Commission.

The National Coordination Body has decided that press conferences from today will be held on Mondays at 17:00 at the Public Health Institute.
