Interest-free reprogramming of special purpose loans for agriculture - Government's third package of measures

The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development announced today a Public call for submitting requests for interest rate subsidies during the grace period provided by the reprogramming of the existing special purpose loans for agriculture, agro-industry and fisheries.

This Public call is part of the Third Government Package of Socio-Economic Measures aimed at supporting the sectors of agriculture and fisheries to maintain liquidity.

With this measure, the Government provides an opportunity for interested legal and natural persons to exercise the right to subsidise interest rate during a grace period of 12 months for existing loans with commercial banks or the Investment Development Fund. The right to subsidy can be exercised by natural persons, companies and entrepreneurs, who are registered agricultural producers, registered fishermen, registered fish farmers or processors of agricultural and fish products, who until 31.12.2020 submit a request for interest rate subsidy, in accordance with the conditions and procedure specified in the text of the Public call.
