DPM Simović: Citizens and producers from Berane will continue to have Government's full support

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Milutin Simović met today with farmers from Polica in Berane.

"We met under specific conditions, wearing masks and maintaining distance. However, the Government has not and will not distance itself from the needs of the citizens of Berane. On the contrary," said Simović on that occasion.

He reminded that through the projects of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development in the last two years, about 11 km of asphalt rural roads were built in Berane, which contributed to improving the quality of life of locals in rural areas and created preconditions for further development of the local economy.

Furthermore, through numerous non-refundable support measures, the Ministry of Agriculture has supported farmers and entrepreneurs from Berane with almost EUR 4 million in the past three and a half years.

"Support is growing from year to year, and through the third package of Government measures, new opportunities are opening up for entrepreneurs in the agricultural sector.

Numerous capital projects whose implementation is underway open new perspectives for the north. In addition to the importance of the motorway, the construction of the road Lubnica - Jezerine - Kolašin will bring Berane closer to Podgorica and the coast by 40 km. For producers, that means a closer market and more competitive prices, and it brings quality of life and new opportunities to citizens," said DPM Simović in Berane.
