Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Milutin Simović paid a working visit to the municipality of Rožaje today.

"Numerous valuable development projects are being implemented in Rožaje, which will accelerate further development, such as the Hajla ski centre worth EUR 14 million. Multiethnic, civic, stable Rožaje and Montenegro are a safe environment for progress," said DPM Simović during the meeting with the municipal management.

DPM Simović opened the Agribusiness Centre in Rožaje, which, as he said, will be a new "significant support to farmers and entrepreneurs in Rožaje in preparing business plans and applications for generous support programmes provided from the Agrobudget and EU funds".

New jobs created

Simović put into operation a new modern line for wood processing in Rožaje.

"In addition to the 14 existing ones, 10 more new jobs have been created. The new concept of forest management will enable better availability of timber to small producers," said DPM Simović.

The Deputy Prime Minister also met with farmers and entrepreneurs from Rožaje, with whom he discussed the challenges they face and plans for further improvement of production and business.
