Prime Minister Duško Marković congratulated leadership of Pljevlja, led by Municipality President Igor Golubović on excellent communication and cooperation with the Government, consolidation of public finances and announced projects of reconstruction of all roads that lead to this town, to make it more accessible.
"Consolidation of the energy sector gives great benefits in terms of strategy. It is way we are on the good path, while arranging the Coal Mine and ecological revitalizing the Thermal power plant, to solve the most important issue in Pljevlja – pollution. It will open eyes and the view to the whole city, not only in terms of cleanliness, but also in the development perspectives. On the other hand as well, we are intensively creating preconditions for better accessibility of Pljevlja. The road to the border with Bosnia and Herzegovina is being reconstructed, the second phase of the project is being prepared, we have started works on the reconstruction of the road to the Republic of Serbia and a part of the road to Slijepač Most has already been done. The plan is to start a serious reconstruction of the road to Đurđevića Tara. When we do that, we opened Pljevlja to the environment and connected this city within our country, to make it a good and promising place to live. We have the opportunity to turn all this into reality," said the Prime Minister at the meeting.
The Prime Minister welcomed the excellent results of the local government in consolidating public finances, as a key condition for creating a new value and improving the lives of citizens.
"There are no opportunities for development if you do not stabilize local finances or the municipal budget. You have made a serious result on that," said Prime Minister Duško Marković at a meeting with the leadership of Pljevlja.
The meeting was attended by Minister of Economy Dragica Sekulić, President of the Municipal Assembly Mervan Avdović, Vice President of the Municipality Dragiša Sokić and Chief Administrator in Municipality of Pljevlja Zoran Radošević.
