Government's new strong support for hosts of Berane

Berane, Montenegro (28 August 2020) -- The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development continued, in cooperation with the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), to invest significant funds in development of rural infrastructure in Municipality of Berane. 

With the aim of further improvement on conditions of life and work in the rural area of Municipality of Berane, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development began earlier today asphalting of over 5 km new asphalt roads, worth over EUR 300.000, as well as the construction of the water supply in the local community Petnjik, worth over EUR 50.000. 

These days, another 640m of the road will be done in the local community Dapsići, village Dapsići, 400 m in the local community Petnjik, the two sections 1,060 m long in the local community Polica, village Zagrađe, two new sections of a total 1.040 m length  in local community Štitari, of which 540 m in the village Bubanje and 500 m in the village Štitari, as well as today's 1.900 m in the local community Zagorje, village Zagorje. 

These works represent continuation of the project on improvement of rural infrastructure, under which only in Municipality of Berane for the past two years, over 6 km of rural roads worth EUR 350.000 has been asphalted, while a water supply worth EUR 41.000 has been constructed in local community Zagorje. 

These infrastructure projects, along with generous non - refundable support of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development to diligent hosts and entrepreneurs, will contribute to further development of agriculture and improvement of the quality of life in Berane.
