Local self – government, Police Directorate and Administration for Inspection Affairs agreed on coordinated control over compliance with epidemiological measures

Podgorica, Montenegro (19 September 2020) -- The competent authorities in local self – governments will continuously implement, together with the Police Directorate and the Administration for Inspection Affairs, the coordinated inspection controls over the strict compliance with epidemiological measures - it was concluded at today’s meeting of the Operational Staff of the National Coordination Body.
"Consistent compliance with all measures at both state and local level is what we particularly will insist on," said Head of the Municipal Protection and Rescue Team of the Old Capital Royal Cetinje Dejan Lučić, following the meeting. He added that this particularly relates to wearing of protective masks outdoors and indoors.
The Head of the Operational Staff on coordinating implementation of measures to prevent the spread of coronavirus, Prof. Dr. Vesna Miranović informed the competent local authorities about epidemiological situation and conclusions of the National Coordination Body for Communicable Diseases, which requires more effective work of authorities competent for control over the implementation of measures, with the aim of reducing the level of local transmission to the lowest level before the beginning of the school year.
