The Operational Staff for Inspection Affairs of the National Coordination Body for Communicable Diseases stated at today's session that the competent inspection bodies at the state and local level have strengthened control of compliance with epidemiological measures over the past four days. More than 150 inspection controls were carried out in Podgorica, in which more than EUR 20,000 in fines were imposed.
The session, attended by President of the National Coordination Body Milutin Simović, concluded that special attention should be paid to the municipalities of Berane and Nikšić and to the Capital City Podgorica, because these three areas currently represent the biggest epidemiological challenge.
Inspection controls showed a high degree of compliance with epidemiological measures in institutions and economic entities, that the level of compliance with measures in public transport has improved, and that the level of compliance with measures outdoors and in catering facilities is unacceptably low.
On Friday, Saturday and Sunday, 445 controls of compliance with epidemiological measures in tourism and hospitality industry were carried out throughout Montenegro. Misdemeanor warrants in the amount of EUR 23,200 were issued.
In the past seven days, one hundred vehicles performing intercity and international transport, as well as the transport of employees, were inspected. Nine drivers were fined for non-compliance with epidemiological measures. The amount of the fines imposed is EUR 900.
The full readiness of all competent inspections from the state level for further intensified action in accordance with the decision of the National Coordination Body was reiterated, and the expectation of strong support from the local level was expressed.
