PM Marković meets with Ambassador Nagy: Romania is supportive friend of Montenegro

Podgorica, Montenegro (12 October 2020) -- Montenegro and Romania are partner and friendly countries, which should strengthen their excellent political bilateral relations through the improved economic cooperation, it was noted at the meeting of Prime Minister Duško Marković and Ambassador of Romania Ferdinand Nagy.
"On the path of Euro - Atlantic and European integration we had the continued support of Romania. That support has always been strong, partner and friendly," said Prime Minister Marković who hosted a farewell visit by Nagy and on that occasion thanked the Ambassador for his personal commitment to progress of Montenegro.
Ambassador Nagy said that he witnessed the great progress of Montenegro, and that he is particularly proud of the fact that our country became a member of NATO during his mandate.
"Romania was, it is and it will be the strong supporter and friend to Montenegro," Ambassador Nagy noted.
The two officials agreed on importance of remaining committed to foreign policy goals of Montenegro, that it should be a strong member of NATO and a country which will dedicately work on meeting the conditions for full membership in the EU.
