Montenegro and Austria to finance eleven joint research projects in 2021-2022
Pursuant to the Agreement between the Government of Montenegro and the Government of the Republic of Austria on Scientific and Technological Cooperation, signed on 10 June 2009 in Podgorica, the Ministry of Science of Montenegro and the Agency for International Cooperation in Education and Research of the Republic of Austria have announced a call for applications for co-financing scientific and technological cooperation between Montenegro and Republic of Austria for the period of 2021-2022.
Following the results of the evaluation conducted by both parties, in accordance with the established conditions and priorities of the call for applications and the available budget of the two countries, the Joint Commission for Scientific and Technological Cooperation between Montenegro and the Republic of Austria has, choosing from among 16 project applications, approved 11 projects for funding, agreeing on and signing the fourth session protocol electronically.
Scientific research projects will be implemented in the form of joint visits (travel expenses and per diems) of researchers from Montenegro and the Republic of Austria, who will take part in joint research projects.
The Ministry of Science will provide EUR 4,500 for each project for the Montenegrin team, and the Agency for International Cooperation in Education and Research will provide EUR 4,500 for the Austrian team, per year.
The planned date of commencement of project implementation is 1 January 2021, while the project completion date is 31 December 2022.
In the event that the health situation related to the COVID-19 pandemic prevents the commencement of project implementation on 1 January 2021, the extension of the deadline for project implementation will be regulated by an annex.
