Minister Radulovic talked with Minister Ciocoi: Economic cooperation between Montenegro and Moldavia to be further intensified

Minister of Foreign Affairs Đorđe Radulović had a phone conversation today with Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration of Republic of Moldavia Aureliu Ciocoi.


Minister Radulovic expressed the pleasure with good and friendly relations between Montenegro and Moldavia that are not burdened with open issues and based on joint tendencies in context of joining the European family of countries. He emphasized that there is a room for deepening cooperation in many fields, particularly indicating potentials in fields of tourism, energy, infrastructure and agriculture. On that line, Head of Montenegrin diplomacy stated that joint activities should be undertaken in order to intensify economic cooperation in the future period, as well as that establishing closer cooperation of chambers of commerce of two states would be of great importance. In the context of European Integration, Radulovic highlighted that Montenegro firmly supports Moldavia on its path to join EU, while expressing our readiness to share experience and expertise in this domain, with Moldavian side. 


Minister Ciocoi congratulated Minister Radulovic on the appointment for Minister of Foreign Affairs, while expressing the belief that communication and contacts will be additionally intensified in the period ahead, on mutual pleasure of both countries. He highlighted that Moldavia sees Montenegro as the role model in the EU process, thus Montenegrin experience will be very significant in the further steps of reforms aiming at acceleration of European road. Additionally, he appraised commitment of Montenegro to cooperation development through regional organizations, and, in that context, congratulated on presiding over CEI during 2021 also. 


Interlocutors jointly acknowledged that political consultations of two ministries of foreign affairs should be organized in the following period, in order to consider a number of significant topics for development of bilateral relations. They also exchanged views on normative bilateral basis, agreeing that good incentive to the overall relations will be signing agreements that are already in procedure.
