Deputy Prime Minister and the Minister of Finance, Igor Lukšić, Ph.D, met with newly appointed extraordinary and authorized Ambassador of Swiss Confederation Ervin Hoffer. Deputy Prime Minister Lukšić and Ambassador Hoffer discussed current economic topics and global financial crises, as well as the impact of the crises to Montenegrin economy. Deputy prime minister Luksic introduced the Ambassador with the set of economic, fiscal and monetary measures implemented by the Government in order to mitigate economic crises consequence. He also introduced the Ambassador with the economic progress which Montenegro achieved in last years high economic growth rate, foreign direct investments inflow and decrease in unemployment rate which in the economic crises conditions have created a maneuver space for fast and adequate reaction and mitigating consequences. The meeting was used as a chance to discuss the possibilities for improving economic cooperation between the countries.
