Assistant Minister of Finance for CFCU, Ms. Nataša Kovačević, took part in the Round Table Reporting Irregularities and Frauds (AFCOS - Anti Fraud Coordinating Structures) organized in Budapest in period 2 4 September. Montenegro, as future beneficiary of the EU pre-accession funds is obliged to insure legislative framework for the protection of the EU financial interest, as well as to establish the efficient and effective management structure for identification of irregularities and frauds during the use of the EU assistance funds (AFCOS Composition). AFCOS is one of the mechanisms for cooperation and communication with the OLAF European Anti-Fraud Office. Competencies and OLAF may refer to third countries with which EU member states have signed contracts, which is very important for the future institutions of Montenegro. The aim of the roundtable was to be a better introduction to the role of OLAF / AFCOS-and, given the fact that certain bodies of the State Administration of Montenegro during the use of pre-accession funds of EU assistance, report on irregularities.
