39th INTERPOL European Regional Conference

Senior law enforcement officials from throughout Europe will meet in Hotel Splendid in Becici, Montenegro from 26-28 May for the 39th INTERPOL European Regional Conference.

 

The meeting will focus on a range of transnational crime issues, including;

 

  • support and co-ordination in fugitive investigations
  • enhancing co-operation in combating transnational and Internet-related crimes
  • strengthening and enhancing the response to environmental crime
  • expansion of access to INTERPOL’s tools and services

 

The opening ceremony and speeches by Prime Minister Milo Djukanovic and INTERPOL President Khoo Boon Hui will be open to the media at 9.30am on Wednesday 26 May. A press conference will take place immediately after the opening ceremony at 10:45am.

 

The Conference itself is closed to the media, however there will be opportunities for interviews with specialist officers from INTERPOL. Opening and closing press releases will also be issued and made available on the INTERPOL website.

Reporters attending the opening ceremony must bring valid identity documents to the venue.
