Delegation of the Government of Montenegro, led by the Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister , Mr. Igor Lukšić, PhD ., visited the People’s Republic of China.

The visit of the delegation of the Government of Montenegro to the People’s Republic of China was concluded in the Ministry of Trade. During the meting, both parties emphasized the intention to boost economic relations to the next level and the intention is that through the cooperation of line ministries to provide intensive communication and exchange of experiences in all areas of cooperation. The need to develop the cooperation of the companies of both countries since it represents the linking chain of the two countries and its peoples. The Chinese side is willing to strengthen cooperation with Montenegro, and Chinese companies will be provided with the incentives aimed at strengthening cooperation with Montenegrin companies and banks that might be involved in financing projects in Montenegro. At the meeting was agreed the signing of the Framework Agreement on Cooperation in the field of strengthening the infrastructure. At the closing meeting that Montenegrin delegation held with the representatives of Poly Technologies Inc., the intensive communication and visits of their representatives in Montenegro was agreed with the objective of considering all possibilities for further cooperation, both in the areas of infrastructure, as well as in areas in which this company is recognized in, such as ore exploration and cooperation in other areas. On this occasion, the Deputy Prime Minister, Mr. Igor Lukšić, PhD., signed the Memorandum of understanding with this company. Moreover, final talks were conducted in the field of infrastructure with the representatives of the Corporation for the construction of roads and bridges and the Agreement on building the bypass around Budva was signed. The Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister, Mr. Igor Lukšić, PhD., and Minister of Transport, Mr. Andrija Lompar, PhD., met with the representatives of the Huawei Company, being the most recognized company in the field of telecommunications. During the talks, the representatives of the Huawei company were informed about the future cooperation options with our country, they were offered the cooperation and assistance in the provision of logistics for the research center for this reputable company. During talks with representatives of Gezhouba Corporation, the largest company in the field of energy, the Deputy Prime Minister, Mr. Igor Luksic, PhD., introduced them with the opportunities to take part in the pre-qualification tender for the construction of hydro – power plant on Moraca river and other projects which in the process of implementation or planned ones in Montenegro. With the representatives of the company Sinotrans, being the most recognized one in the field of maritime transport, representatives discussed about the possibilities of establishing direct shipping line between the port of Bar and one of the ports in the PR China.
