Ministry of finance has submitted to the European Commission the “Economic and Fiscal Programme for the period 2009 - 2012“.

The Ministry of Finance, in accordance with its obligation to submit the document Economic and Fiscal Programme 2009-2012 by 31st January, submitted the document to the General Directorate for Economic and Financial Affairs of the European Commission. The Economic and Fiscal Programme is the strategic document that Montenegro is preparing fourth year consecutively. The Economic and Fiscal Programme reflects good cooperation between Montenegro and the European Commission, as well as our efforts and dedication in taking all necessary steps directed to the European integration. The Economic and Fiscal Programme 2009-2012, was produced in accordance with the recommendations of the European Commission. Particular focus was dedicated to the economic crisis impact in the light of improving conditions for achieving sustainable economic growth and development. As it was the case in previous years, this year's Economic and Fiscal Programme is the result of good inter-sectoral cooperation between numerous institutions including the following: Ministry of Finance, Central Bank of Montenegro, Securities Commission, Insurance Supervision Agency, MONSTAT, Ministry of Economy, Ministry of Transportation, Maritime Affairs and Telecommunications, Ministry of Labor and Social Care, Commission for the Control of Public Procurement Procedures, Public Procurement Commission, Commission for the Control of Public Support and Aid, Ministry of European Integration, Directorate for Development of Small and Medium - sized Enterprises, Competition Protection Directorate, Institute for Strategic Studies and Prognoses, with expert support of UNDP Project.
