Prime Minister Milo Djukanovic met Wednesday with Michael Haltzel, a Senior Fellow at Center for Transatlantic Relations of Johns Hopkins University.

The Prime Minister acquainted Mr. Haltzel with Montenegro’s progress in achieving its strategic priorities and macroeconomic stability, which, he said, was attained regardless of the economic crisis, as well as with the investment plans, particularly in the areas of infrastructure, energy and tourism. The Prime Minister thanked the United States for playing an important role in Montenegro’s progress towards Euro-Atlantic integration and MAP invitation.

During the meeting, views were exchanged on the situation in the region and it was agreed that the countries of the region had to be integrated into European and Euro-Atlantic structures as soon as possible.

Haltzel welcomed Montenegro’s evident progress towards Euro-Atlantic integration and the fact that Montenegro was a good example of integration and multi-cultural dialogue, the government said in a press release.
