Prime Minister Milo Djukanovic hosts farewell meeting for US Ambassador Roderick Moore

Prime Minister Milo Djukanovic hosted a farewell meeting with US Ambassador Roderick Moore on Tuesday.
Prime Minister Djukanovic thanked Ambassador Moore for his personal involvement, which left a strong imprint on the development of Montenegrin-US relations, as well as for the overall US support to Montenegro’s development and reforms.
The US Ambassador emphasized that he was leaving his office in Montenegro pleased that the ties between the two countries were now stronger than ever before in their history
The two officials exchanged views on the situation in the region and agreed that Montenegro was committed to maintaining the stability and joint progress of the Western Balkans towards European and Euro-Atlantic structures. Ambassador Moore underlined that Montenegro had developed good relations with other countries of the region and demonstrated its readiness to make important and complex political decisions.
It has been noted that there are numerous opportunities for more significant inflow of US investment in Montenegro, particularly in tourism and energy sectors. The Ambassador stressed that the United States would continue to support Montenegro, particularly its northern region, as well as its defense system, the rule of law, fight against organized crime and corruption and many other areas.
At the end of the meeting, the Prime Minister wished Ambassador every success in his career in the future.
