Study Visit of CFCU representatives led by the Deputy Finance Minister Ms. Nataša Kovačević, to the Ministry of Finance of the Czech Republic, in the period 13 – 16 April 2010

Within the Technical Cooperation Programme – TCP of the Ministry of Finance of the Czech Republic, the CFCU representatives, led by the Deputy Finance Minister Ms. Nataša Kovačević, were on a Study Visit in the period from 13 th April to 16th April 2010 Prague. The Study visit was focused of the scope of activities of the CFCU’s being implementing agency for funds originating rom the European Union (EU). Pursuant to the aformenetioend, the study visit covered the following areas: legal and institutional framework for the use of the EU funds, management and control over the structural funds, as well as the funds that preceded them, the methodology of financial management and payments, budget process in relation to the EU funds, including co-financing and its own resources, project cycle management, defining the role of implementing agency in management of the EU funds. Having in mind the fact that the Gap Plugging stage for the introduction of Decentralized Implementation System of IPA funds of the Road will initiate soon, and that this phase is already completed in Croatia, this was is an opportunity for representatives of the CFCU to become familiar with the challenges that countries that took part in the Study visit for preparation for DIS were facing with (or face with).
