Zagreb: Deputy Prime Minister Lukšić, held several bilateral meetings at the EBRD Annual Meeting.

The Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister, Mr. Igor Lukšić, PhD., held meetings with Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister for Economy, Mr. Sergei Tigipko, the Vice-Chancellor and Austrian Minister of Finance Mr. Josef Pröll, the Vice - President of the International Finance Corporation, Mr. Rashad Kaldany and representatives of various international financial institutions. During the meeting with the Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine, the mutual interest in strengthening and improving the bilateral cooperation was expressed, particularly in the economic area. The two officials agreed that, in this direction, Intergovernmental Committee of Montenegro and Ukraine gave a significant boost, and expressed willingness to carry out all necessary activities to establish the Committee as soon as possible. In the context of discussions on foreign policy and economic priorities of Montenegro - membership in the World Trade Organization (WTO), the satisfaction was expressed with the constructive approach during the recently held fifth round of negotiations between Montenegro and Ukraine and expressed confidence that the conclusion a bilateral agreement between the two countries will take place soon
