Prime Minister Milo Djukanovic pays official visit to Egypt

Montenegro and Egypt have excellent bilateral relations based on traditional friendship and investment cooperation, Prime Ministers Milo Djukanovic and Ahmed Nazif agreed during the first official visit by the Montenegrin Prime Minister to Cairo.
Prime Minister Nazif noted that Egypt was very interested in channeling its exports to Central Europe, as its biggest trading partner, through Montenegro’s Port of Bar.
He complimented Montenegro on its rapid progress and development, describing it as a good example of how peace and stability can boost a country’s economy and development. According to him, Egyptian investors look upon Montenegro as a very attractive and reliable investment destination, as they strive to build closer ties with Europe.
Montenegro is committed to creating a competitive economic environment, which Egyptian investors have already recognized, Prime Minister Djukanovic said, adding that next year would be the year of restored economic growth in the country.
The two officials announced that the two countries would strengthen their relations through bilateral economic cooperation agreements in the coming period.
