Prime Minister Djukanovic ends visit to Egypt by meeting with President Hosni Mubarak

Prime Minister Milo Djukanovic and President of the Arab Republic of Egypt Muhammad Hosni Mubarak expressed their satisfaction with relations between the two countries, adding however that there was room for further improvement, particularly in terms of economic cooperation.
Montenegro and Egypt are already cooperating both bilaterally and in the multilateral fora, such as the Union for the Mediterranean, which is co-presided by Egypt.
Prime Minister Djukanovic acquainted President Mubarak with Montenegro’s strategic foreign policy goals, including the EU and NATO membership, as well as the ongoing reforms aimed at achieving the European quality of life for its citizens. Reference was also made to Montenegro’s development potentials and future infrastructure projects.
Both sides voiced commitment to bringing the business communities of the two countries together in the interest of new investment projects.
The two Prime Ministers also exchanged views on foreign policy issues, with particular reference to the situation in the Middle East.
During his visit to Egypt, Prime Minister Djukanovic also had talks with Speaker of the Egyptian People’s Assembly and Speaker of the Shura Council Mohamed Safwat El Sherif.
