Third meeting of intergovernmental committee on economic and trade cooperation between Montenegro and China takes place in Beijing

Montenegro and China have promoted bilateral cooperation in recent years and there is still plenty of opportunity for further development of economic relations through infrastructure projects, Montenegrin Deputy Prime Minister Vujica Lazovic and Chinese Vice Minister of Commerce Gao Hucheng agreed at the third meeting of the intergovernmental Committee on Economic and Trade Committee in Beijing on Wednesday.
The Chinese side expressed great interest in developing economic ties with Montenegro, particularly in the areas of investment and trade.
Deputy Prime Minister Lazovic acquainted the Committee with major national projects, including the Thermal Power Plant of Maoce, Moraca River hydropower plants, the Bar-Boljari Motorway and the Adriatic-Ionian Highway, for which Chinese investors showed interest.
The intergovernmental committee also pledged to boost cooperation in environment, education and information technology.
