Abazović and elementary school students plant trees that symbolize the acceptance of diversity
The Office of the Deputy Prime Minister and the Council on Child Rights, at the initiative of parents of Jovana Laković, a student learning in the inclusive classroom of the Elementary School Radojica Perović, organised a tree planting activity with the support of the Capital City Podgorica, company "Zelenilo" Ltd. Podgorica, teachers, staff, parents and students of the school. Deputy Prime Minister Dritan Abazović and students planted 65 tree seedlings, symbolizing the number of classes in the elementary school Radojica Perović.
This action was encouraged by love, friendship and tolerance. This tells us that these values are still cherished and need to be preserved. Today, we planted 65 seedlings as a symbol of accepting diversity, said Snežana Dakić Tomanović, Director of the Elementary School Radojica Perović.
Dakić Tomanović emphasised that by accepting special friends and building friendships, regardless of differences, children become better people, and we, as she pointed out, can encourage them to nurture love. She stated that inclusive education allows us to see that the world is made of diversity and that it makes it richer.
DPM Abazović thanked everyone for attending the event and launching the initiative.
He noted that this is just one small symbolic project for the children of Montenegro, to spread our love, to give everyone a hug, so that the children could always be happy, satisfied and smiling, as they are today. We need to accept differences, to fight for an ecological state, for each of you to have your own tree, in order to later show your children the tree you planted while you were in school. We continue to build a more beautiful society, the Deputy Prime Minister said.
