Abazović hosts Ambassador of Cyprus Demetrios Theophylactou

Montenegro and Cyprus are countries with similar characteristics. We look forward to further cooperation between the two countries, which continue to promote sincere and high-quality bilateral relations. We are proof that even territorially small countries can play a big role, said Deputy Prime Minister Dritan Abazović at a meeting with the non-resident Ambassador of Cyprus to Montenegro, H.E. Demetrios Theophylactou.

Ambassador Theophylactou said that the Republic of Cyprus provides open and sincere support to Montenegro on its European path, wishing our country to become the first next member of the EU. He emphasised that the geographical and economic similarity of the two countries opens the possibility for cooperation in numerous areas, such as energy, infrastructure, science and the like.

DPM Abazović and Ambassador Theophylactou discussed the possibilities of improving cooperation and partnership relations between the two friendly countries, especially in the maritime and tourism sectors.
