Abazović, Maskay: France strengthens its presence in the region
Prime Minister Dritan Abazović received the newly appointed Ambassador of France to Montenegro, Anne-Marie Maskay.
The Prime Minister wished Ambassador Maskay a successful mandate in further strengthening bilateral cooperation, emphasizing the friendly relations between the two countries, reinforced by their alliance within NATO, and France's principled support for Montenegro's European integration.
In this context, they welcomed the decision to appoint a special envoy for the Western Balkans, aligning with France's commitment to enhance its presence in the region and support its European path.
Ambassador Anne-Marie Maskay expressed France's commitment to supporting Montenegro's European integration and readiness for intensive cooperation with the Montenegrin government in areas of mutual interest.
They also discussed the potential for strengthening economic cooperation, including increased French investments and enhanced tourism collaboration, given the good air connectivity between the two countries and the growing number of tourists from France.
The two officials expressed the expectation that a Center for Cybersecurity Capacity Building would be inaugurated at the beginning of the next year, highlighting the commitment to strengthening cooperation in various mutually beneficial areas through high-level political dialogue.
