Abazović meets Dutch Deputy Prime Minister
Prime Minister Dritan Abazović met Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands Wopke Hoekstra, on the sidelines of the REAIM summit in The Hague.
Expressing mutual satisfaction with the meeting, the two officials emphasised the potential for improving friendly and allied relations, pointing out that Montenegro and the Netherlands, as partners in NATO, cooperate on a larger level and within the framework important for broader, global security.
The Prime Minister stressed that Montenegro has taken concrete steps to open the Embassy in the Netherlands, based in The Hague, assessing that its opening in the coming months will contribute to the strengthening of good bilateral relations and will stress the importance of this country for Montenegro's European integration.
Prime Minister Abazović stressed that the opening of the Embassy of Montenegro in The Hague is not only a confirmation of good bilateral relations, but also a proof of the importance that our country attaches to European integration, bearing in mind the approach of the Netherlands towards the EU enlargement policy.
The Prime Minister stated that Montenegro is ready to further enrich the economic potential, creating a more favourable investment environment for significant Dutch investments.
Abazović and Hoekstra agreed that there is evident space for strengthening economic cooperation, especially in the energy sector, tourism, infrastructure projects, IT, agriculture and food industry.
