‎Abazović meets Saudi Arabia's Minister of Islamic Affairs‎

Prime Minister ‎‎Dritan Abazović‎‎ hosted Minister of Islamic Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Abdullatif bin Abdulaziz Al-Sheikh‎‎, who is paying a visit to Montenegro.‎

‎Prime Minister Abazović expressed his satisfaction with the visit of the Minister of Islamic Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Montenegro. He recalled the importance of launching the flights between Riyadh and Podgorica, and expressed his belief that it will contribute to strengthening cooperation in the field of tourism, but also in other areas of mutual interest.‎  

‎Minister of Islamic Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Abdullatif bin Abdulaziz Al-Sheikh thanked for the reception and said that the meeting is another opportunity to exchange views and improve cooperation with Montenegro. I express my respect for your efforts and success achieved in a very short period of time, said the Minister and pointed out that he especially appreciates "the wise policy of Montenegro and its political leadership towards religious communities in the field of preserving interfaith harmony".‎

‎The officials exchanged views on Saudi Arabia's intention to bid for the host ‎‎of EXPO‎‎ 2030, and the possibility of opening an embassy of Montenegro in Riyadh.‎

‎Rifat Fejzić‎‎, the head of the Islamic Community of Montenegro, also attended the meeting. Furthermore, the meeting discussed strengthening religious infrastructure and support for the Islamic Community.‎
