Abazović meets UNIDO Director General
Prime Minister Dritan Abazović met Director General of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) Gerd Müller.
The two officials agreed that a working group should be formed as soon as possible to establish a new cooperation framework between Montenegro and UNIDO, especially in the areas of renewable energy sources and agriculture.
Furthermore, they exchanged views on the possibilities of cooperation in the field of tourism and the IT sector and agreed that in the coming period it is necessary to work more intensively on strengthening staff professional qualifications, in which the dual education system plays a special role.
Small countries have the potential to lead in many areas. There are many chances for Montenegro, said Müller.
The two officials also discussed the European integration process and emphasised the importance of the EU membership for the further development of Montenegro and the region as a whole.
There is no alternative for us. The EU membership is our only goal, said the Prime Minister.
Minister of Economic Development and Tourism Goran Đurović also attended the meeting.
