Abazović meets with workers of Primorka Bar

Published on: Dec 31, 2021 11:15 AM Author: Office of the Deputy Prime Minister

The Government of Montenegro is fully committed to solving the problem of privatisation of the company "Primorka" Bar. We made a commitment to help them with that. The demands of the workers are maximally justified and they have real demands, Deputy Prime Minister Dritan Abazović said after the meeting with the representatives of the workers of "Primorka" Bar.

DPM Abazović pointed out that the next activities of the Deputy Prime Minister's Office will be to hold a public debate in communication with the Chairman of the Commission for Monitoring and Control of the Privatisation Procedure, Maksim Vučinić, and invite everyone to discuss the issue. Abazović stated that the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister will send an urgent request to the State Prosecutor's Office and expressed hope that a new Prosecutor's Office will not wait for the case to become obsolete and will prosecute all those who participated in obvious corrupt actions in the case of Primorka's privatisation.

The representatives of the workers of Primorka said that the Government of Montenegro should be more actively involved in solving their problem. The representatives of the workers pointed out that most of their problems lie in the State Prosecutor's Office, which did not follow the procedures earlier and unreasonably delayed its conclusions.
