Deputy Prime Minister Dritan Abazović said that even after 28 years since the crime in Štrpci, the families of innocent victims are waiting for justice to knock on the door of all perpetrators and those who ordered that crime.

"We have an obligation to the souls of the victims, their families, but also to the reputation of the state. The issue of shedding light on this case, as well as all other unresolved cases, is also a matter of conscience for us as individuals who are in important positions in the country," said Deputy Prime Minister Abazović.

DPM Abazović noted that war crimes are not subject to the statute of limitations, adding that the completion of the trial in this and all other cases is an indispensable part of our confrontation with the past and civilian victims of the war in ex-Yugoslavia.
