Abazović sends letter of condolence on the passing of Erhard Busek
Deputy Prime Minister Dritan Abazović sent a letter of condolence to the Chancellor of Austria, Karl Nehammer, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Austria, Alexander Schallenberg, on the passing of the former Vice-Chancellor Erhard Busek.
It is with deep sadness that I received the news of passing of the former Vice-Chancellor of Austria and a great friend of Montenegro, Erhard Busek. On behalf of the citizens of Montenegro and on my own behalf, I offer our deepest condolences to Erhard Busek's family, to you and to all the citizens of Austria, Abazović's letter reads.
Busek served as Vice-Chancellor of Austria from 1991 until 1995. He was also Minister of Science, Culture and Education.
Busek was Special Coordinator of the Stability Pact for South Eastern Europe, but also a strong supporter of the integration of the Western Balkan countries into the European Union.
