Abazović thanks Council of Foreign Investors: Vaccination, responsible business and saving the season

Deputy Prime Minister Dritan Abazović attended the presentation of the 11th edition of the White Book of the Council of Foreign Investors in Montenegro, as a key document in which foreign investors point out the main challenges they face in their business.

DPM Abazović said that he was very satisfied that the excellent cooperation and communication between the Government and the Council of Foreign Investors continues, noting that the Government had several meetings with Council of Foreign Investors in the past period.

The presentation of the Council of Foreign Investorsʹ White Book was an opportunity for the Deputy Prime Minister and the Council of Foreign Investors to exchange views on the preparation of the upcoming tourist season, especially in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic. The presentation of the White Book emphasised the importance of mass vaccination in order for Montenegro to better welcome the beginning of the tourist season.

The Council of Foreign Investors expressed readiness to assist the Government in the mass vaccination, proposing to set up vaccination points in attractive tourist locations, such as Porto Montenegro, Porto Novi, Luštica Bay.

Deputy Prime Minister Dritan Abazović thanked the Council of Foreign Investors in Montenegro for their selfless help in preparing for the tourist season and fighting the COVID-19 pandemic. The Deputy Prime Minister stated that the Government is trying to better prepare the tourist season in cooperation with coastal municipalities, investors and primary health care centres, and that this is the top priority, adding that the implementation of many projects in the coming period will depend on the success of this tourist season. DPM Abazović expressed his belief that this tourist season, after the establishment of the Green Corridor, will be quite successful and that after the limited movement of citizens in the previous year, we can expect a significant influx of tourists from the region.
