Prime Minister Dritan Abazović met Alexander Mechetin, the investor and founder of Noblewood Adriatic, which plans to open a Beluga Montenegro vodka factory in Nikšić in March.

The investor stressed that the opening is planned for 21 March and that the factory will produce vodka that will be exported to all world markets, except for Russian, which is covered by domestic production. Mechetin pointed out that Beluga Vodka is one of the 10 best-selling and most famous vodka brands in the world whose annual turnover is about 1,500,000,000.00 euros.

It is planned that the factory in Nikšić will pump out about 30 million bottles a year, and the investment itself is worth about 25 million euros. The expected annual value of exports is 500 million euros.

The investor pointed out that the factory will initially employ over 200 workers, with a tendency to grow by several hundred over the next two years. It is planned to simultaneously open a representative office of the company in Tivat, which will be focused on marketing and trade.

Prime Minister Abazović expressed his satisfaction that Montenegro is becoming a new production and export base of the world-famous Beluga Vodka, emphasising in particular the importance it will have for our economy. Prime Minister Abazović reiterated that the Government remains open to all healthy foreign investments and will continue to work in order to open new plants throughout the country that will create new jobs.
