Ambassador of Brazil pays farewell visit to PM Krivokapić

The non-resident Ambassador of Brazil to Montenegro Eduardo Botelho Barbosa paid a farewell visit to Prime Minister Zdravko Krivokapić.

Prime Minister Krivokapić emphasised Montenegro's interest in strengthening and intensifying bilateral relations with Brazil, which is among the world's eight largest economies.

Prime Minister Krivokapić stressed the importance of signing a Memorandum of Understanding that would strengthen good relations between the two countries through periodic consultations on bilateral, regional and multilateral issues of mutual importance.

The Prime Minister of Montenegro expressed hope that both sides will use good political cooperation to strengthen economic cooperation, especially when it comes to cooperation in tourism, as both countries are known for their exceptional tourism potential.

Prime Minister Krivokapić informed Ambassador Barbosa about the impressive results that the Government has achieved in very difficult and unpredictable transitional and pandemic conditions in the past fourteen months of its work.

Ambassador Barbosa thanked for the opportunity to represent his country in Montenegro.

The Ambassador of Brazil emphasised that the Western Balkans is at the top of Brazil's foreign policy priorities, and that he understands the complexity of transitional relations both in the region and on the Montenegrin political scene, but that politics is a dynamic process that requires all participants to always make extra efforts.

Ambassador Barbosa said that by signing the Memorandum of Understanding, relations between Montenegro and Brazil will be raised to an even higher level.
