Ambassador Radović's farewell visit to the President of the Republic of Bulgaria Radev
President of the Republic of Bulgaria Rumen Radev welcomed the Ambassador of Montenegro in that country Snežana Radović in her farewell visit.
Thanking him for good cooperation and hospitality during her four year term, Ambassador Radovic emphasized the unconditional support from all officials adresses in Bulgaria and confrmed that Montenegro is strongly dedicated to realization of goals which arise from the European agenda. She stated that all political actors in our country agree that EU membership has no alternative and pointed out the value of respecting the regatta principle in in grading the progress of the countries of the region.
President Radev pointed out that bilateral relations of the two countries are extraodinary and reminded of the great number of meetings of the highest level both during official visits and on margins of multilateral meetings. He expressed regret for the fact that he didn't officialy visit Montenegro because of the pandemic. He reiterated his interest in relazation of his visit during 2022.
President Radev pointed out that Montenegro is the leader in the process of European integration and that Bulgaria will continue to support us on this path. He emphasized that reform processes must not stop as they are the only safe way for our country to become a full member of the EU.
In the context of cooperation between Ministeries of Defence of the two countries with NATO, President Radev said that he would like it to be additionally strenghtened. Also, he pointed out that Bulgaria is more then ready to provide support in the field of education of Montenegrin officers and soldiers and called for this topic to be opened on the appropriate level in the near future.
