DPM Abazović attends ceremony on the occasion of the Day of Armed Forces of Montenegro

Civil, European and ecological Montenegro is the guarantor of peace, stability and economic progress. We must all be committed to that goal, and the Armed Forces of Montenegro have an important role in that, said Deputy Prime Minister Dritan Abazović on the occasion of the upcoming Day of the Armed Forces of Montenegro.

Abazović states that the Armed Forces of Montenegro have contributed since the independence in 2006 to the maintenance of global peace and stability and that it is recognised as such among the partners in the Alliance, and that in Montenegro it is the guarantor of security and the institution that citizens trust the most.

Throughout history, the Armed Forces of Montenegro have made numerous heroic achievements, made a key contribution to our independence and marked an era that is behind us. Today, the Armed Forces of Montenegro have a different but equally important role. NATO membership is one of the pillars of our foreign policy and we are working together to make Montenegro a full member of the EU, said DPM Abazović.

The Deputy Prime Minister attended today's ceremony on the occasion of 7 October, the Day of the Armed Forces of Montenegro, which is being held in the barracks "Milovan Šaranović" in Danilovgrad.
