DPM Abazović: Lower salaries to officials and higher to doctors

Deputy Prime Minister Dritan Abazović supports proposed amendments to the Law on Salaries of Public Sector Employees, which was forwarded by the Montenegrin Trade Union of Physicians to all deputies in the Parliament of Montenegro.

DPM Abazović, as a guest on the show "Neđelja u petak" on A1 TV, said that he had a very clear position on this subject.

I think that other officials should have their salaries reduced, while doctors' salaries should be increased. In my opinion, that is a fair solution. When I say 'officials', I mean those from the first category who have the highest salaries in the country, said the Deputy Prime Minister.

Abazović said that he has always advocated for a progressive salary tax rate, which would mean that the lowest salaries would remain the same or increase, while those with higher salaries would have higher tax liabilities, which would make fair distribution.
