DPM Bečić congratulates Bosnia and Herzegovina on opening accession negotiations

Deputy Prime Minister Aleksa Bečić congratulated Bosnia and Herzegovina on the opening of accession negotiations and wished them success in the negotiation process.

I sincerely congratulate you on the opening of accession negotiations with the EU, confident that you will achieve significant success on this journey. Your readiness to turn towards the future and join the European community of nations is a symbol of determination to build a legacy for future generations who will have their chance in the European Union, Bečić emphasised.

Deputy Prime Minister Bečić also highlighted that this event represents a significant step not only for the citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina but also for the entire Western Balkan region.

By joining the EU, Bosnia and Herzegovina will add special value to the European mosaic, and Montenegro will, in the spirit of good neighbourly relations and friendship between our two countries, provide all necessary assistance and support on its path to European integration. We are deeply convinced that our membership in the EU is the only true path to building a fairer and more prosperous future for all our citizens. Bosnia and Herzegovina, just like Montenegro, belongs in the European family, Bečić concluded.
