Foreign Minister Radulović and Xhacka: Montenegro and Republic of Albania devoted to the European path

Minister of Foreign Affairs Đorđe Radulović spoke today by phone with the Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Albania Olta Xhacka. Minister Radulović on that occasion expressed the pleasure with comprehensive bilateral relations, characterized by open communication and fruitful cooperation.

Minister Radulović pointed out the importance of alliance of two states within framework of NATO alliance, as well as common goals on the European path. Having in mind that two countries designated the EU accession as the top priority in their foreign policy agenda, he expressed the belief that cooperation in the context of negotiation process is a cornerstone for further development of bilateral connections.

On that line, Minister Radulović conveyed that “Montenegro, as a friend and neighbor, a country that supports European aspirations of the region and country that progressed the most when it comes to negotiation process, shows its readiness to provide expert, technical, and any other sort of help to Albania in fulfillment of objectives within its European agenda”.

That is, as highlighted, a true confirmation of our devotion for advancement of regional cooperation that we find as a key of stability and development of the Western Balkans.

Minister Xhacka emphasized the importance of open and continuous communication at political and institutional levels, regarding all matters of common interest. She agreed with her counterpart that European orientation of two countries should be in focus of mutual activities so as to strengthen the overall cooperation even further.

At the meeting, current epidemiological situation in both countries were mentioned, as well as endeavors that governments are undertaking in course of mitigating negative consequences caused by COVID-19 pandemics. Interlocutors also discussed intensifying of activities when it comes to promotion of cooperation at the economic level.
