Gjeloshaj meets with Ambassador of Italy and representatives of Telecom Italia Sparkle: Focus on investments in Montenegro's ICT sector

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economic Development Nik Gjeloshaj held a meeting with Ambassador of Italy to Montenegro Andreina Marsella, and representatives of Telecom Italia Sparkle, Chief Corporate Officer Ambrogio Michetti, and Chief Business Development Officer Fabio Panunzi Capuano.

Gjeloshaj expressed satisfaction with the meeting and emphasised that the Government of Montenegro is interested in attracting credible investments, with a particular focus on the ICT sector, which represents a key developmental opportunity for Montenegro.

Representatives of Telecom Italia Sparkle highlighted that their company is one of the leading providers of wholesale infrastructure and network services, with ownership of 600,000 km of optical cables worldwide. They expressed Sparkle's interest in expanding the optical network in the Mediterranean, including laying new submarine cable systems in the Adriatic Sea.

In this regard, Gjeloshaj expressed support for the successful implementation of ideas and proposals in Montenegro, emphasising the readiness of the Government of Montenegro to collaborate on the successful implementation of projects.
