A healthy population is potentially the most important resource of society in all segments of development, contributing to its overall social and economic progress. The health system of Montenegro provides over 95% of health care services to citizens.

The Ministry of Health, as the creator of health policy and the provider of the environment for its implementation, pays great attention to the development of medical technologies, procurement of state-of-the-art and sophisticated medical equipment and devices, professional training and education of doctors and nurses, improvement of infrastructure capacity, construction of new health facilities – all in order to provide more efficient and quality health care to our citizens and create a better environment for the work of health professionals.
