Ibrahimović receives newly appointed Canadian Ambassador Michelle Cameron

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr Ervin Ibrahimović received today the newly appointed Ambassador of Canada to Montenegro Michelle Cameron on a non-resident basis, for an introductory visit.

Minister Ibrahimović expressed satisfaction with the friendly and allied relations between Montenegro and Canada, extending a warm welcome to Ambassador Cameron and wishing her a successful mandate. He expressed confidence that cooperation in areas of mutual interest would continue to develop in an upward trajectory.

Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening economic cooperation and high-level political dialogue. It was also noted that the Montenegrin diaspora in Toronto and Vancouver serves as a strong link between the two countries.

Minister Ibrahimović and Ambassador Cameron also discussed current global challenges and joint activities within NATO. Additionally, they exchanged views on ways to further enhance cooperation in multilateral forums.
