Ibrahimović-Troccaz: Noted progress of Montenegro on the path to the EU, France will continue to provide full support
The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ervin Ibrahimović met today with the Special Envoy of France for the Western Balkans René Troccaz.
Montenegro continuously confirms its commitment to achieving the key foreign policy goal – EU membership. The efforts you are making and the results you are achieving are noted in Paris, Brussels, and other European addresses, and you can count on the full support of France in the continuation of the integration process, said Troccaz.
Minister Ibrahimović recalled the tradition of friendly relations between Montenegro and France, emphasizing that next year marks 145 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations.
Our relations are very substantial, accompanied by a dynamic political dialogue at a high level, and we especially appreciate the support that France provides for Montenegro's integration into the EU. As a leader in the negotiations, I believe that we will confirm our position by closing four negotiation chapters, and in that context, the support of partner countries is very important to us, said the Minister.
The interlocutors also exchanged views on other current regional circumstances. They assessed that the Western Balkans Cyber Capacity Centre (WB3C) will contribute to cooperation and strengthening stability and agreed that the European perspective is the best way for further development and prosperity in the Western Balkans.
